Through progressive training and algorithm-generated custom melodies, it bridges the gap between basic drills and real song melodies , allowing your ears to gradually adapt to more complex melodic structures.

Q: Is the app free to use?

Yes , it has a free version and in-app purchases for premium content! Melody Ear Gym offers a free version with basic exercises and training modes. Advanced features are available through in-app purchases for users who want to unlock premium content.

Q: Do I need prior music knowledge?

We recommend having a basic understanding of solfège and at least one year of music-learning experience before using the app. However, the app is designed with progressive difficulty levels, so beginners can also benefit from starting with introductory exercises.

Q: Does the app change keys during a training session?

Unlike some other melody dictation apps that stay in C major for every exercise, We switch keys between sessions (e.g. a new key every 10 questions) This helps your ear adapt to the real-world variety of keys. We keep the same key throughout each session (e.g. 10 questions in the same key) Since most real songs stay in one key for extended sections (except in some jazz), this trains you to maintain a strong sense of the tonal center across longer phrases.
