About This App
This app was born from a personal journey to master melody recognition by ear.
While I could identify melodies on an instrument, I struggled to do so without one. I soon discovered countless other musicians face the same challenge.
Through conversations with fellow musicians, I learned better approaches—like relating every note to the tonic (Do) instead of just intervals. But jumping straight to real songs still felt overwhelming, and textbook exercises felt disconnected from actual music.
So I created Melody Ear Gym: to bridge that awkward gap between drills and real-world music. It generates clean, progressive melodies that build confidence step by step. With adjustable difficulty, instant feedback, and direct ear-to-instrument connection, it offers focused, flexible training most apps simply don't provide.
